My wife and I have had 427 Collision repaired our cars a few times over the years because they are the recommeded shop by the insurance. In the first couple of times I was quite pleased with their repair work and service but not so much recently.

My wife had her car repaired by 427 early this year and she had a few complaints (they were not addressed satisfactorily). I had my car done by them just over a week ago. The repair on my car was to (a) replace the rear bumper cover, (b)fix some scratches/abrasions on the rocker panel and (c) fix a patch in the front air damp next to the rocker panel where the paint was scraped off (not written up in the order but I was never given a copy of the order for this specific work). When I got my car back, I saw that (a) there was a color mismatch between the new bumper cover & the rocker panel with the rest of the body (the new color was too light) and (b) the patch in the front air damp had a layer of either touchup paint or primer hand-painted on it. When I brought the car back to their attention, instead of addressing these problems, they tried to weasel their way out. They said the color mismatch was due to painting over the plastic cover and this would always look different because of the material. As for the patch in the front damper, they said it was not part of the repair and they did not put the paint on but they would be perfectly willing to remove the paint if I wanted. Of course I did not just want to have the paint removed so nothing was done in the end to fix either problem.

What really bothered me was that not only they did not try to address the problems, they were dishonest. My advice: stay away, this is not nearly as good a repair shop as it used to be, i.e. no difference from any other shop.
